The Calgary Underground Film Festival is once again a Community Partner on a selection of the Calgary International Film Festival.
Jeremy Saulnier is one of our favourite directors. We fell in love with his work when MURDER PARTY debuted. Last year, BLUE RUIN won the Jury Award, Best Narrative Feature at CUFF.
Saulnier returns with GREEN ROOM.
A group of punk rockers find themselves trapped at a secluded skinhead bar after stumbling across a horrific crime scene.
It’s a hyper-extreme game of cat and mouse, as the neo-nazi club owner and his henchmen ruthlessly aim to eliminate all witnesses. The tables continue to turn, suspense builds, and bloody gore ensures as the down-on-their-luck punk band try to outwit a cold-blooded Patrick Stewart (STAR TREK).
Directed and written by Jeremy Saulnier, the filmmaker behind 2012’s Cannes Film Festival hit BLUE RUIN and 2007's Slamdance-winning MURDER PARTY, the gruesome genre film has an all-star cast including Anton Yelchin (STAR TREK), Imogen Poots (28 WEEKS LATER) and Alia Shawkat (ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT).
