description

Local businesses duke it out by making increasingly unhinged commercials to outdo their competitors in this absurdist, cosmic horror about the town of Westridge, Alberta.

In BUFFET INFINITY, you can find all of these things as you follow along with an unnamed viewer who channel-surfs the local TV station of Westridge County. This town has everything you need and more! But there’s something sinister going on, and as we watch, local favourite Jenny’s Sandwich Shop and a new restaurant called Buffet Infinity compete for the top position in town via TV ads. And there’s that sinkhole… and the red screens with cryptic messages… oh, and there’s Langdon P. Hershey, the religious scholar and recording artist. But what does it all mean? And why do we want to go to Buffet Infinity all the time? Along with our mystery viewer, we see the decline of an Albertan town and the rise of something sinister and out of control.
