Spend a day on the boardwalk with KINGS OF VENICE, a madcap look at the paddle tennis community of Venice Beach.

Once a proud sport, it's now kept alive by a collection of oddballs – including an Italian male model, a degenerate gambler, and Hollywood's most accomplished party crasher. That is, until pickleball shows up and threatens to overtake their beloved courts, leading the locals to hatch an over-the-top plan: a $50,000 winner-take-all tournament to put paddle tennis back on the map. Against all odds, they raise the cash. But when two of pickleball’s top pros show up to claim the prize for themselves, can our rag-tag crew pull off a miracle, or is paddle tennis dead for good?

Sveinn Ingimundarson is an Icelander who lives in Los Angeles. After studying advertising and graphic design in Milan, he continued his studies in New York City, where he worked in advertising before joining his friend in starting the yogurt brand siggi’s.

S.D. Saltarelli is an above-average paddle tennis player. He’s also a screenwriter who realized that his friends in Venice Beach were more interesting than any characters he was writing.
